Job Description

  • Responsible for delivering all facets of Risk and Compliance activities and processes within an identified business unit. Drive the policy development and processes mapping to achieve our Enterprise Risk Management framework as per COSO frame work in line with our client's Business Objectives.
  • Will work along the Head of Risk & Compliance for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company's risk management system providing a process for managing risk into the organisation's overall governance, strategy and planning, management, reporting processes, policies, values and culture. The broader aim is to increase the likelihood of achieving company objectives, ensuring shareholder value and mitigating downside risks.
  • To Develop Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including but not limited to the following:
  • Linkage between Risk Assessment & Business Planning.
  • Documented Risk Management Policies & Procedures.
  • Documented Risk Registers & Risk Logs.
  • Risk Evaluation Scoping Matrix.
  • Financial Account Risk Matrix.
  • Business control incident system.
  • Review and update Business Continuity Plan & Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • To Develop a full review of Corporate Governance & Compliance activities including but not limited to the following:
  • Sustainability Development.
  • Responsibility to Shareholders, customers, employees etc.
  • Economic essentials in achieving business goals and continuous growth.
  • Competition (Compete, fair & ethical).
  • Business Integrity (Honesty, Integrity, fairness in all aspect of business).
  • Political activities (Of company employees)
  • Local Communities.
  • Communications & Engagements.
  • To Develop Company General Business Principles (High level), Code of Ethics & Code of Conduct.
  • To assist and play a pivotal role to
  • Design our client's risk management system as per policy.
  • Design a tailored risk management process according to our client's unique context including identifying and assessing risk and design risk treatment.
  • Promote risk management within organizational processes.
  • Report quarterly to the Board on risk management developments and progress
  • Serve as a risk management resource for company directors and managers

Personal Specification

  • Minimum Academic Qualifications (Preferred)
  • Relevant education in Finance and Business administration or related fields
  • Integrity/ethics, strong research and analytical skills, sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of Middle Eastern, specifically GCC culture, politics, and the oil and gas industry. (relating more to technical competences)
  • An understanding and working knowledge of Risk Management and ISO 31000 requirements and their importance to business continuity. (technical)
  • Ability to quickly assess and adapt to changes in company environment and context
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
  • An analytical mind to determine complexities of procedures and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Any relevant certification will be a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage successful projects in an international setting for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Leadership ability
  • Professional written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with staff at all levels and to work effectively in a diverse community.
  • Skill in influencing people to accomplish company's goals.
  • Ability to cope with and embrace change and use it to the advantage of the company
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years' experience managing research projects in a diverse and changing environment.
  • Computer skills (MS Office, audit software, ERP systems etc.)
