Orion Group Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a RGM Analytics Manager for our Multinational Pharmaceutical client based in the Berkshire area on an initial 6-month contract.


Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to develop Revenue Growth Management strategies for a specific focus area, be it pricing & architecture, promotions, trade terms or assortments. RGM is a key lever to realize more value from our Brand plans, and will be critical in delivering against our profitable growth agenda. The role holder will be responsible for defining clear action plans across our portfolio and embedding RGM into our key Customer and Customer Strategy teams.


Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Defines RGM opportunities and recommends action plans for at least a rolling 12-month plan which deliver value for the client and customers ahead of the market
  • Anticipates competitor and market changes and reacts quickly with a plan to offset any profit pressure, e.g. implications of Brexit, competitor price changes
  • Scopes the optimum position for top 10 brands in terms of pack size and hierarchies and drives this agenda with regional and franchise teams
  • Has a voice early in the innovation process on pipeline across top 5 brands ensuring RGM thinking is incorporated within the plans
  • Builds capability of the Commercial Strategy, and Customer Development Team to live and breathe RGM and build optimum plans going forward
  • Partner in annual strategic price review and makes recommendations for any associated cost price increase within the market
  • Champion of the Customer Investment Waterfall plan
  • Understands the Profit position of the portfolio and builds strategies in conjunction with the Commercial Strategy team to maximise GP delivery and optimise the portfolio
  • Utilises promotional evaluations and insights to optimize plans by brand
  • Inputs into the monthly standard regional reporting for the NE leadership and provides associated commentary
  • Generates monthly tracker in regard to all RGM projects
  • Expert in all Panorama RGM reports allowing a quarterly proactive review of risks and opportunities, e.g. cross border pricing position, value position etc.
  • Responsible for a suite of RGM tools which others in market can use to understand current positions and identify opportunities

Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate

  • 1st degree or equivalent
  • Required Years of Related Experience: 3-5 years
  • Experience of national account manager roles or equivalent
  • Advanced Excel (Must)
  • Data visualization (tableau, Qlikview, Microsoft BI) (Must)
  • Advanced Access (Must)
  • Alteryx (preferred not essential)
  • Good understanding of SQL (preferred not essential)
