Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Reservoir Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Reviewing data from non-operated fields and populating tools to enable understanding
and forecasting of field performance.
* Maintaining the OFM database for Non operated properties.
* Maintaining 1PM tools for Non-Operated properties.
* Performing PTA using Kappa suite on Non-Operated properties.
* Generating production forecasts for internal consumption -- Business plan, business
management.
* Reviewing production data and developing understanding of field performance.
* Reviewing field performance and forecasting remaining reserves associated with
assets.
* Challenging the field operator to ensure optimal field management practises are being
deployed.
* Performing numerical simulations to understand performance of oil and gas fields.
Deploying classical reservoir engineering techniques to understand performance of oil
and gas fields.
Consolidating forecasting data to enable plan on plan comparisons.
* Applying a performance improvement mindset to the role and improving the efficiency
of the NOJV team.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree qualified, BSc/BEng in Mathematics, Engineering or a Science.
* MSc in Petroleum Engineering (preferred).
* Familiar with both reservoir simulation and analytical methods.
* Competency in producing production forecasts and managing petroleum production
data (preferred).
* Experience with classical reservoir and computational simulation of fluid flow in porous
media (preferred).
* Clear communication skills both written and verbal communication.
* Excellence in numeracy.
* Demonstrate problem solving capability.
* Strong Excel and database experience.
* Capability to work with large datasets.
* Attention to detail in manipulation of large datasets.
* Capability to learn new concepts and tools -- receive coaching and improve
performance on areas.
* Team worker strong in collaboration.
