Reporting Accountant - Oil & Gas

Leading oil & gas company based in Victoria, London is seeking an Interim Reporting Accountant for an initial 3 month interim assignment, however there is scope for this role to roll on further.

The role is based at the company's UK Head Office and will report to the Group Reporting Manager. The Reporting Accountant will be supporting the groups external reporting requirements. The role requires an understanding of existing and new accounting standards, their impact on the group, ensuring consistent application by the groups statutory accounts.

IFRS 101/102


  • Preparation of a number of statutory accounts across the Group's entities, across a number of jurisdictions
  • Interaction with tax function to allow for completion of tax aspects of applicable accounts
  • Interaction with London, Aberdeen and overseas finance teams for additional support / information as required
  • Interaction with external auditors and day to day management of external audit for the statutory accounts
  • Utilisation (where possible) of the Group's OneSource accounts preparation software.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts between statutory entities

Financial accountability

  • Preparation of year end financials and statutory accounts
  • Answer auditor queries on statutory workings and accounts


  • Part Qualified / Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience of SUN Systems essential
  • Experience of OneSource software preferable
  • Oil and Gas industry experience preferable
  • Analytical and professional individual
  • Articulate with strong communication skills
  • Driven to work independently to meet individual deadlines
