Regulatory/OMM Assistant for La Porte, Texas on a contract assignment and below you will find a few of the details for reference:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Complies with all site safety policies and practices, Polymers Americas safety activities and objectives. Demonstrates safety as a core Client value.
* Serves as the main key user and configurator for Polymers use of ETQ.
* Serves as the main key user of applications that interface with SAP.
* Ensures systems stability and integration through planning and testing of SAP solutions.
* Documents Polymers IT applications and customization. Provides training materials for business applications.
* Monitors company-wide and industry trends for software to keep Polymers current with best practices.
* Ensures Polymer Internal Control Documents are up-to-date and participates in Internal Control Testing exercises.
* Develop and author product stewardship information and literature for TEPRI and CV products and intermediates, including product Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels.
* Assist in ensuring compliance of regulations beyond Product Stewardship, such as TSCA CDR/PMNs, REACH, and transportation.
* Participate in product development and change processes. Provide business specific information to support these processes.
* Provide business with expertise on product regulations (state, federal, & international), NGO concerns, & any product stewardship issues
* Provide customer support with timely and appropriate responses to their product stewardship questions and issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with strong focus in Biology; Business, Engineering or Information Systems
* Education or experience in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Toxicology, or Environmental Science is strongly preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years industry experience to include the safe use and handling of hydrocarbons, resins, polymers, and chemicals in general.
* Ability to understand and interpret regulatory documents.
* Ease of contact/credibility with all levels of hierarchies, all businesses and support activities, wide range curiosity and interest
* Pragmatic, knowledge of the business and industry, and analytical skills well developed.
* Experience in managing or operating business-related activity.
* Knowledge of Information Systems usage among Business Unit activities
