The Consultant will be providing an efficient, effective and professional recruitment service to both clients and candidates, portraying the group and the specialist division in a positive manner at all times through your own personal conduct and performance. The consultant will work towards and exceeding targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients or business leads generated; it is the responsibility of the Recruitment Consultant to provide a quality service both internally and externally, ensuring compliance to group policies and the REC Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and utilise the candidate database in order to identity the right match to the clients vacancy
  • Advertise vacancies and manage response
  • Actively source and maintain a bank of quality applicants within specialist discipline
  • Client and candidate management
  • Keep open communication with candidates to ensure availability is current and obtain market information/leads
  • Manage clients recruitment requirements at all times within a timely and professional manner
  • Business development - actively market and promote specialist division and group via telephone, written communication, client visits and presentations
  • Actively pursue leads and develop business via social media and networking
  • Gaining detailed information relating to clients recruitment need and managing the full process from taking of vacancy, shortlist, interview, placement and maintaining/developing client relationship
  • Fully brief all candidates regarding the job, client, manage the interview process and after care service
  • Negotiate rates with clients as necessary and ensure all communication is documented on company database and copied to client - ensuring there are no grey areas
  • Paperwork compliance for candidates and clients
  • Ensure 100% compliance for all contractors prior to any contract assignment
  • Gain verification of eligibility to work, qualifications, referencing etc
  • Ensure that any changes such as rate changes/contract amendments etc are correctly managed and documented on database and all administration completed correctly and saved
  • Attend recruitment fairs/exhibitions/seminars as required, both to promote the Group and to build own personal knowledge/development
  • Participate in daily/weekly team meetings - ensure follow up of actions and commitments
  • Assist management in bid preparation and tender exercises as requested
  • Provide line management with Management Reports & Information as necessary or appropriate (having particular regard to outputs against Key Result Areas contained within the Office Business Plan)
  • Deputise in absence of colleagues
  • Mentor/train junior members of staff as required
  • Ad hoc projects as requested

Knowledge

  • Finance recruitment experience desirable/relevant experience in a recruitment/sales environment
  • Demonstrable experience of working to and exceeding set sales and financial targets
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and with appropriate tone and grammar, both verbally and in writing
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage a diverse and busy workload, plan effectively and work to deadlines on own initiative
  • Sound numerical competence
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative or well within a team
  • Excellent customer focus with flexible can do attitude, aimed at delivering business and service objectives
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office
  • Willingness and ability to undertake and/or continue professional development
  • Car driver and owner - preferred
