Recruitment Manager with HR

A new exciting opportunity to join a leading independent retail business who have undergone a period of expansion which is set to continue with the planned opening of several more branches. With branches throughout the Central Belt this is a fantastic opportunity to join on a FTC of 12 months supporting the Head of HR looking at the recruitment cycle and supporting on related HR work as required.

The role:

  • Have extensive experience within recruitment at a multi-site, multi discipline level from initial application process through to on boarding
  • Establish and advise on best practice and share experiences and procedures across the group
  • Writing of adverts to engage with passive audience and attract from local sources, with responsibility for handling the budget so key decisions on placement of advertising.
  • Have a creative approach to solutions if attraction proves difficult with a clear financial bias
  • Screen, shortlist and initial telephone interview experience to ensure a robust process and final interview list submittal to the hiring manager
  • Coach Operational Managers on interview skills and techniques
  • Enhance the company brand by working at local level with jobs fairs, work programme providers, schools etc. to increase applications through alternative methods
  • Use an ATS and monitor metrics reviewing timescales, time to hire process to assess the total candidate journey
  • Act as the first point of contact for any candidate queries and interview feedback
  • In addition, support the HR team with any Administration through the Candidate life cycle as required, and as necessary to support in first line ER issues.

The person:

  • Ideally CIPD qualified
  • Previous experience within a multi-site, multi layered business with both blue and white collar workers
  • Demonstrable ability of managing a recruitment budget and assessing best returns
  • Passionate about the candidate experience and company brand awareness
  • Strong IT skills -Applicant Tracker Systems, and ideally HR people system knowledge
  • Have acted as a key lead in recruitment processes and all associated on boarding

This is a Fixed Term Contract of 12 Months, but may be extended or lead to a Permanent post however this is not guaranteed.
