Our client is a Construction company renowned for its Civil and concrete floor works.

An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join their projects team to manage and plan all costs on a wide variety of contracts from new build offices and warehouses to concrete and civil work packages from outset to completion.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and analysis of tenders, including producing bills of quantities from drawing take offs, obtaining quotations from suppliers and preparation of terms and conditions.
  • Pre-valuation meetings to be held to identify commercial risks, including risk from over value.
  • Preparation and submission of valuations adhering to client valuation dates.
  • Final account negotiations with clients and presentation to Director for sign off.
  • Preparation of monthly Cost Valuation Reports to pre-set deadlines.
  • Analysis of costs in probity system to identify any cost errors
  • Carry out site visits to check measurements, identify variations and liaise with staff and clients
  • To maintain accurate records of onsite measurement, calculations and site notes.

You will be degree qualified in a related subject and proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience using Probity System is preferred. You will have excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Working week 42.5 hours, salary negotiable depending on experience.
