Quantity Surveyor

Location - Rosyth, Fife

Rate - negotiable

Contract - 6 months+

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the day to day running of the commercial aspects in the delivery of a Project.

Skills required

Proven track record of experience of commercial construction contracts

Sound working knowledge of the various conditions of contract preferably NEC3 & FIDIC
Degree educated in a related construction commercial discipline

Ensure variations are dealt with timely and in accordance with the Conditions of Contract
* Maintain effective communications with project management, team and other associated disciplines
* Ensure contract specific change control processes are maintained
* Ensure the production of monthly actual cost and value reports, forecasts and cash flow information for presentation to management.
* Preparation, submission and agreement of interim payment applications, in accordance with the provision of contracts.
* Support the management of Risk ensuring Risk is identified, appropriately measured and mitigated
* Accurate management of costs for subcontracts including change management
* Support project reporting cycles
* Promote commercial awareness within the project team providing guidance and advice where required
* Monitor contract compliance
* Measurement and Valuations
* Ensure professionalism, optimism, energy and drive are displayed
* Ensure that company policy, rules and regulations are adhered to
* Strive for improvement and ensure lessons learned are captured and encompassed into future projects across the business
* Provide commercial input to contracts and tenders.

At a minimum, three years' experience on commercial projects preferably using NEC3 and FIDIC
