914048 - QHSE Advisor/Environmental Advisor

Job Description

  • Provide advice on environmental management and compliance
  • Submission and securing approval of permits and consents applications using the BEIS UK Oil Portal Environmental Tracking System (PETS)
  • Undertake quarterly and annual reporting to regulatory bodies
  • Assist in conducting internal / external audits, technical / QHSE reviews and management reviews
  • Support the maintenance and development of Business Management and HS&E management systems
  • Support the Head of QHSE in advising staff on all aspects of HS&E

Personal Specification

  • A minimum of five years' experience in the UK offshore oil & gas industry, which should include experience working with an Operator's joint venture partners and contractors, and:
  • a University degree in Environmental Science or the Natural Sciences
  • NEBOSH General Certificate would be beneficial
  • understanding of UK HS&E legislation for the offshore oil & gas industry, specifically for environmental activities
  • advanced knowledge of BEIS UK PETS including Master Application Template (MAT), Subsidiary Application Template (SAT) and Environmental & Emissions Monitoring System (EEMS)
  • advanced knowledge of quality management and safety/environmental management principles and standards
  • experience in setting policy for, developing and maintaining health, safety and environmental management systems
  • experience liaising with the Department for BEIS, Oil & Gas Association (OGA) and the Environment Agency
  • preferably, hold UK valid Offshore Medical & Offshore Survival certification
  • be prepared to travel offshore to support operational requirements
