OrionGroup are looking for a QC Laboratory Validation Specialist Technician for our multinational life sciences client based in the Lancashire area on an initial 6-month contract.

Job Overview
The lab specialist will support business critical improvements in QC laboratories relating the equipment qualification, test method transfer & validation, SOP updates and validation of computer / software systems.

Main Responsibilities of the role:

  • Qualify Karl Fisher Auto Titrator
    * Test Method Transfer of Moisture content method from new to old KF
    * Qualification of Instron machine
    * Support closure of TMV CAPA
    * Support UPLC project by providing samples and technical information to appropriate contractors
    * Conduct data transcription review of QC test results
    * Support UAT testing for LIMS and eCSV (Computer System Validation) systems
    * HPLC & GC Equipment moves (Based on moving Sterility test isolator)

Desired experience and background of the successful candidate

  • Degree level in Science based subject.
  • 5 years GMP lab experience (Pharma / Med Device / Consumer)
  • 3 years - Validation role.
  • Leading Lab based Validation (Equipment / Methods) - Essential
  • Validation Protocol and Report generation - Essential
  • Execution of Test Method Validation & Transfer - Essential Computer System Validation
  • Project Management - Desirable
