Our client is a small engineering company in Fife and currently has a requirement for a Purchasing Administrator to cover a busy period for the next 3 months +

The main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Purchase raw material quantities according to requirements
  • Manage the raw material stores and booking in/receipt and storage of raw materials
  • Sourcing of raw materials/products to meet specific requirements
  • Liaise with Production and Sales Managers for timely delivery of raw materials
  • Control costs of raw materials and subcontractors by continual comparison
  • Maintain, organise and file all documentation related to the purchase of goods in line with ISO 9001 requirements

You should be able to use the company stock control and accounts computer system, be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications and have strong communication skills to communicate well with customers and suppliers
