Orion Group are delighted to be working with a rapidly expanding client based in Staines, Middlesex near London. We are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing team in a fast paced progressive environment on a permanent basis after 3 months temping.

What is involved in the role:

  • High volume invoice input of mixed values
  • Process purchase ledger invoices within Sage ensuring any queries are promptly investigated and cleared both internally and externally.
  • Matching and batching of invoices
  • High volume reconciliations of different kinds
  • Updating and maintaining a MS Excel spreadsheet
  • Working alongside finance assistants and senior management to achieve overall results
  • Respond to any customer queries
  • Ad hoc tasks when required

Experience/ additional information:

  • Sage experience, ideally Sage50
  • Microsoft experience, Word and Excel
  • Experience in a similar role (at least 2 years)
  • Experience in a fast paced environment
  • Must be available on short notice ( ideally less than a 4 week notice)
