Orion Group are delighted to be working with an outstanding client based in Stirling on an exclusive basis! We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join the well performing finance team on a permanent basis in the head office in Stirling.

Our client is based in a newly renovated Townhouse in the City Centre where you will work in a fresh open plan office with modern equipment and facilities at hand. The current turn over is £40 Million however this will look to increase significantly in the coming years along with headcount meaning this is a great opportunity for someone looking to settle in an organisation for the coming years.

There is free parking close to the office and transport links close-by. Hours of work are 8.30am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am- 4.30pm on a Friday with 45 minutes for lunch, however hours can be altered slightly to accommodate employees if you have other commitments.

What will be involved in the role:

  • High volume invoice input from one of the main company client accounts (you will look after this alone)
  • Process purchase ledger invoices within Sage ensuring any queries are promptly investigated and cleared both internally and externally.
  • Matching and batching of invoices
  • High volume reconciliations of different kinds
  • Updating and maintaining a MS Excel spreadsheet
  • Initially all work will be done on Sage 50 however next year this will change over to an in-house system so it is important all information is logged accurately
  • Respond to any customer queries
  • Ad hoc tasks when required

What is needed from the candidate:

  • 3 years in a similar position
  • Good understanding on Microsoft packages, in particular MS Excel
  • Good knowledge of Sage 50, any another packages would be beneficial as you will have to learn a new system next year
  • Outgoing personality, friendly office where there will be the ability to interact with colleagues
  • Accurate and efficient way of working
  • Must be available to start before the Christmas break for introduction etc
