Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Project / Structural Engineer (Decommissioning) based in Aberdeen.


Responsibilities will include:
Monitor the contract budgets and costs
Oversee the management and the selection and requisition of all plant, equipment and materials on the contract
Lead negotiations with the customer where any variations and changes to contract carry commercial implications
Take the leading role in preparation of pre-tender evaluations and in the preparation of tender submissions as required
Ensure that all client expectations are delivered
Follow up customer enquiries and demands promptly
Appreciation of specialist disciplines i.e. scaffolding, painting, insulation, passive fire protection
Ensure all activities including those of sub-contractors are managed
Ensure that all hazards are identified and assessed to mitigate risk exposure
Plan and monitor the work scope budgets and costs;
Manage and monitor the selection and requisition of all plant, equipment and materials on the contract;
Optimise deployment and performance of resources to achieve or exceed performance targets;
Manage negotiations with the Customer where any variations and changes to workscopes carry commercial implications, Advising the department OM / LE
Plan operations in conjunction with client representatives;
Communicate progress of operations through liaison with clients on a regular basis;
Ensure that all client expectations are delivered and follow up customer enquiries and demands promptly.
Cultivate and develop good customer relations.
Plan and monitor the requisition and expedition of all resource requirements including material, equipment and personnel (including subcontractor services);
Ensure co-ordination of shipments to worksite through logistics department.
Report to Specialist Services OM / LE.
Client / Client Representative(s) and onshore and offshore management teams and offshore company employees.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential
Good working knowledge in Rope access, Scaffolding , Lifting, Welding, Cutting, Vessel Management Services with ideally experience in work involving ionizing radiation, HP / UHP water jetting, solids / liquid transport systems and confined space working
Sound knowledge of Environmental Services ideally with experience in work involving decommissioning
Industry Knowledge in decommissioning Experience in a similar role

Desirable
Engineering degree/qualification to HNC/HND level
Industry knowledge or certification of Rope Access, Scaffolding, Lifting, Welding & Cutting
