My client is a well know International market leader within the Manufacturing sector. They are looking for a Project Specialist with exposure and experience in a Supply Chain/Logistics environment. Reporting into the Director of Regional Logistics you will have the following;

* Possesses a high level of process expertise within a Logistics environment.
* Participates in and leads cross-functional global and local project teams of varying size and scope.
* Obtains data & information from a range of sources and uses this to draw sound conclusions, make recommendations to the business and incorporate into Operational plans
* Focuses on achieving supply chain and departmental targets through continuous improvement

* Support the creation of Logistics Operational plan, with careful consideration of capacity constraints within and outside the department.

* Work in partnership with other departments such as operations and sales to gain an in-depth understanding of what matters to the internal and external customer to ensure focus on initiatives that make a difference
* Access relevant data, analyse key trends, combine findings from multiple sources, draw conclusions and make business recommendations to support business goals.
* Present key findings of data interpretation to provide input for key projects and assist in building implementation plans for change.
* Work with Lean Methodology to support the drive to secure and improve operational excellence and enhance service levels within the Supply Chain.
* Manage resource allocation, project timelines and project deliverables.

* Support the local Logistics teams with key tasks and improvements

The following would be advantageous;

  • A BSC or equivalent Diploma in a Business Management or Supply Chain Management Discipline
  • Experience of working in a supply chain environment
  • Project Management experience
  • Participation in cross functional project teams
  • Forecasting and monitoring of financial performance
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications
  • Presentation skills
