Job Description

  • Lead planning, costing, estimating and reporting functions for the South Lokichar Development
  • Leadership role within the Project Management Team responsible for developing strategy and delivering Project Planning, Scheduling, Costing, Estimating and Reporting;
  • Develop the KPI and metrics for the Development and lead the performance management to ensure the development is on track against the budget, time line and functional requirements;
  • Lead the stage gate planning process and prepare for the readiness reviews;
  • Ensure project services team members understand the vision and set clear guidelines to enable delivery of project services deliverables;
  • Single Point Accountability for developing budgets, follow internal corporate budgeting cycles, AFE management with partners and tracks cost data;
  • Develop estimating guidelines and guide the estimators to develop robust project cost;
  • Lead the change management process and establish clear Management of Change guidelines for the project;
  • Lead Planning & Cost Management meetings to apprise progress, articulate areas of concerns, recovery plans and manage changes;
  • Review contractor estimates and lead the project services discussion at the Select to Define and Define to Execute Gates;
  • Integrator with ability to work with sub surface, well engineering, facility, commercial and ESIA teams to develop a plan.
  • Project Control support to delivery teams and function

Personal Specification

  • Degree /HND / or equivalent project controls experience
  • Experience in the upstream oil industry.
  • Must have previous experience working on an onshore project in the capacity as Project Services Manager.
  • Experience in low cost onshore developments is a key requirement.
  • Pre-FID development experience required.
  • Knowledge on Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning activities working for both Contractor and Operator
  • Risk Management and Change Management competence
  • Leadership experience with strong vision and goal setting abilities;
  • Interpersonal skills to work with partners, Govts, project teams and contractors;
  • Need to be an excellent integrator with good interpersonal skill sets;
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills;
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Ability to work on own initiative;
  • Takes a proactive approach;
  • Ability to take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion;
  • React quickly & flexible to changing circumstances;
