Job description
Project Planner
Location - Glasgow
Salary - Competitive with flexible working benefits
Reporting to the Controls Manager and working closely with the Package Manager, the Project Planner will progress, implement and maintain planning activities for a portfolio of projects. This includes schedule analysis and scenario planning using Microsoft Project and Power BI software.
Knowledge or experience of engineering process is desired to further contribute through active challenge, clash / bottle-neck identification, and strategic schedule analysis, achieving improvements to project efficiency and inefficient cost expenditure.
Prior energy sector experience is not required, however, applicants should clearly demonstrate relevant experience to undertake the following responsibilities:
Development and maintenance of a Baseline schedule in MS Project including agreed S-curves, progress and reporting formats.
Implementation of sub-contractor schedules and establishment of reporting routines and progress follow up.
Timely updates of schedules and issue of reports to relevant stakeholders.
Performing baseline updates / revisions, and where applicable the application of scheduling and planning techniques to analyse results.
Analyse planning data and modify as required to achieve imposed targets.
Liaising with Package Managers, Functional personnel and project team members to report any consequences / changes related to planned progress or clash identification.
Assisting the continued development of an MS Project based PG Integrated Schedule.
Development and maintenance of data summary dashboards using Power BI, to include such information as progress, critical path status, deviation affect, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Microsoft Project proficiency preferred, training can be given.
P6 software skills considered
Power BI - desired.
