Orion Group are looking for a Project Manager for our multinational medical devices client based in the West Yorkshire are on an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend.

Job Purpose:
Project manage and supports updates to the companies Quality Management System to comply with the new European Union Medical Device Regulations (EU MDR).

Main Responsibilities of the role:

Responsible for project management leadership of a cross functional project teams in the execution of implementation of EU MDR compliance.

  • Able to assimilate information quickly
  • Interact with all levels of company management and personnel.
  • Verify own work through the client's systems.
  • Assume responsibility for understanding interim project goals and longer-term deadlines and the required interactions between departments tracking through a Master Project Plan (MPP)
  • Delivering to agreed timescales in line with project plans with a high level of complexity in a changing environment
  • Responsible for managing cross-functional activities against requirements and timelines while meeting project objectives and supporting the team to ensure successful project execution.
  • Take ownership of project risks to ensure they are targeted and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate Project Management Office meetings ensuring all information is presented and recorded
  • Lead and serve as the primary contact between cross-functional project teams and senior management, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Responsible for prioritizing and tracking the aspects of projects including integrated project plans and resources.
  • Apply standard project management applications, tools and processes.

    Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate
  • Works with limited technical supervision.
  • Exhibits effective time management and decision-making skills.
  • Is proactive, demonstrating a high level of initiative but consistency.
  • Has excellent understanding of all aspects of data management.
  • Quality Management Systems background.
  • ability to project manage complex, changing projects within a pressured environment and communicate progress regarding the current project milestone.
  • Excellent data management skills, with proven ability to collect, analyze and present data
  • Highly Computer Literate.
  • Willing to work in virtual teams.
