Project Manager (Capital Projects) - Supply & Logistics

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager manages, implements, and controls the overall project process from conception to project completion for a portfolio of approximately 8-13 projects at a given time frame with the ability to start new projects at the appropriate phase. The Project Manager reports to the Project Department Manager.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement cost effective project using Company Capital Delivery Standard project work Processes.
  • Develop project execution plans, assurance plans, scopes of work, packages for estimating, schedules, and construction work packages to meet timelines of assigned projects.
  • Manage engineering resources for execution of front-end project development, detailed engineering, material requisitions, and bid packages.
  • Develop skill in use of the Site Management of change system
  • Interface with Production, Technical Groups, Maintenance, Turnaround Group and others to gain alignment in execution of project work.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with appropriate stakeholders for any changes to approved scope, quality, cost and schedule.
  • Ensure the quality of project deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering. Prefer in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience at chemical plant or refinery site preferred
  • Experienced in using a stage gated project process
  • Minimum (6) years direct experience as a Project Manager.
  • Basic understanding of Project Controls.
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills working in team environment
  • Ability to multitask - multiple projects in different phases of planning through execution
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to act with authority and with responsibility to identify needed action.
