Project Engineer (Pipelines)

Our client a world-leading energy company is looking for an experienced Project Engineer with expertise in pipeline engineering for an LNG project in Sub-Saharan Africa.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY IN THE UK

This is a 12-month contract assignment and will be based in the client's UK engineering office during the design stage.

The client is looking for an experienced pipeline engineer who can

  • Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection
  • Participate in identification & sourcing long-lead equipment, assuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience of cross country pipelines utilizing open cut and trenchless crossing methods is a prerequisite for this position
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, ideally PD 8010
  • Has 8-10 years of pipeline engineering experience in providing oversight and assurance to the pipeline engineering contractor carrying out detailed engineering
  • Engineering Degree and ideally Chartered Status
