Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Project Engineer - Process, to be based in their offices in the Netherlands.

The world's leading independent tank storage company, our client operate a global network of terminals located at strategic locations along major trade routes.
For their offices in Rotterdam our client are looking for a Project Engineer Mechanical: As Project Engineer Mechanical you are responsible for the implementation of projects for maintenance, modification and new construction for the business' terminals in the Netherlands. The Project Engineer Mechanical works within the program team in the Netherlands and reports to the Program Manager Mechanical. Within the Mechanical program team, you work within a team of approximately 15 project engineers, where you independently to realise the projects.

Task
Fulfilling the role of project leader for one or more projects under your control.
For assigned projects responsible for the budget, planning, engineering, coordination of purchase / contracting of materials and services in cooperation with the various internal specialists.
Develop and implement projects according to the Project Management Methodology (PM) in close collaboration with internal customers and other stakeholders
Make up part of multidisciplinary project teams in which you perform the role of Project Engineer Mechanical.
Involved in the coordination of the construction phase and the fulfillment of a coordinating role in final delivery to the operation and maintenance department.
The engineering and construction are in most cases performed by specialized contractors, with the Project
Engineer remains responsible for safety, quality, progress and costs.
Ensure that all government and safety requirements, technical specifications and user requirements are met.
Compiling and / or verifying feasibility studies, cost calculations, technical specifications and drawings, project
progress reports, etc.
For awarded projects responsible for the overall project handling under the MOC (management or change).
Support the Netherlands terminals for technical issues

Requirements
Experience in engineering and / or project management in the storage or process industry;
A completed BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar;
Experience in working with a project management methodology;
Knowledge and experience in the field of piping and mechanical equipment;
Knowledge in the field of PED
Good oral and written expression skills in the Dutch and English languages;
Able to maintain contacts with both internal and external parties in a professional manner;
Strong in writing and documenting project documents, reports, etc;
