Job Title: Project Manager (£40,000 - £50,000)

Location: Lancashire

Background: This role offers an opportunity for a Project Manager / Engineer to help add expertise to a new projects team working at Heysham power station. with the delivery of a number of packages of work for an International Energy and Regeneration company. The Project Delivery Director will report directly to the MD.

Role and Responsibilities: * Planning, directing, and coordinating activities to manage and implement projects from contract/proposal initiation to final implementation * Leads the project team in determining business requirements and translating requirements into plans * Plans, controls and manages the delivery of a project(s) and deliverables to meet the agreed business, and other project's, needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescale's and quality * Preparation of business cases including the identification and validation of expected benefits * Benefits management - tracking and realisation * Determines, monitors, reviews and reports on all project attributes including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources dependencies and risks * Ensures effective, timely and appropriate solutions are developed to fulfil the business requirements * Seeks appropriate change impact assessment and approval processes are followed prior to authorising any scope changes that may impact on initial scope, duration or deliverables * Responsible for overseeing the adherence of project governance * Planning, directing, and coordinating activities to manage and implement projects from contract/proposal initiation to final implementation * Preparation of business cases including the identification and validation of expected benefits * Benefits management - tracking and realisation * Determines, monitors, reviews and reports on all project attributes including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources dependencies and risks * Ensures effective, timely and appropriate solutions are developed to fulfil the business requirements * Seeks appropriate change impact assessment and approval processes are followed prior to authorising any scope changes that may impact on initial scope, duration or deliverables * Responsible for overseeing the adherence of project governance.

Qualifications and Experience: * Experience operating in the public and / or private FM sector with a demonstrable track record of directly managing capital works within a large and complex estate is essential, preferably within a industrial or civil environment * Understanding of Construction Legislation, Planning Applications, Fire and Building Regulations Approvals * Experience within a contractual, KPI-driven environment and exposure to an industrial, civils environment a pre-requisite * Knowledge of building and engineering services design and associated British Standards * Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act; Construction Design and Management Regulations and other relevant statutory requirements * Desirable - HNC /HND or equivalent qualification in a building or engineering discipline, Site Mangers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), CDM experience & knowledge, Exposure to Passive Fire Protection (PFP).
