Job description

Our Client is a global leader in engineering, consulting, and project management across various industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This is a long-term opportunity where you will play a key role in delivering projects across study, FEED, EPC, and PMC scopes of work. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for executing project work in accordance with the project execution plan, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality cultures
  • Support the delivery of project and engineering excellence
  • Take ownership of assigned project scope and activities, ensuring timely delivery
  • Coordinate activities with Lead Engineers, engineering disciplines, and supporting departments
  • Manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering scope across multiple locations
  • Ensure compliance with contract and scope of work in completing project activities
  • Coordinate and develop key project deliverables such as Project Execution Plan, Design Reviews, and Project Trackers
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, and coordination of medium-sized engineering projects
  • Chair and document technical and project review meetings
  • Act as the primary contact with the client and manage client satisfaction
  • Lead site surveys and data gathering activities for brownfield scopes of work
  • Support project and engineering managers in identifying and addressing project and technical risks

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline
  • Enrollment on the Register of Engineers in the State of Qatar as a Grade A or B Engineer (desirable)
  • Further education and certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP or APM) is ideal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for document development and scheduling
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and highly driven with attention to detail
  • Strong commercial aptitude and awareness
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with risk and change management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Familiarity with a variety of project scopes, including greenfield and brownfield, onshore and offshore
  • Knowledge of project design and technical review processes
  • Experience with project cost control and planning systems

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability for work in Doha, Qatar
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while leading others
  • Experience working within a small project office and supporting cross-discipline activities
  • Willingness to participate in onshore and offshore surveys, with relevant certifications or willingness to undergo suitable training
  • Proficient in written and spoken English for effective communication and interpretation of complex documents
