Job Title - Project Engineer
DIMENSIONS
Management of the multi discipline engineering and construction projects
Continuation onto further projects as required.

Role Purpose
The technical management of multi-discipline engineering and construction projects. Co-ordination of vendors and design consultants and the procurement and management of contractors. Site facilities management.

Key Accountabilities
ESTIMATING/SCOPING
* Define scope of work.
* Review contracts and proposals.
* Review/prepare specifications and scope of work.
* Prepare and distribute submittals.

PURCHASING
* In close collaboration with site and group purchasing manage project specific materials and equipment purchases including: sourcing, maintaining vendor relations, ordering and tracking deliveries, and receiving and processing invoices
* Prepare and issue purchasing documents (i.e.: Subcontracts, Purchasing Orders, Service Agreements) with the Project Manager.
* Assist with the preparation of a cost sheet for each project to maintain purchasing control.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
* Ensure project is delivered on time, on budget and within scope/quality as defined in the project documentation.
* Support Operations and Project Manager with client communication regarding project schedules
* Maintain internal customer and supplier relationships.
* Develop project specific Safety Programs in coordination with Safety Manager and Project Manager.
* Manage project change control through Site instructions, Engineering Queries and Contract Variations.

PROJECT CLOSE OUT
* Ensure snag list is generated and walk-through as needed.
* Provide required close out information at the end of the project (record drawings, O&M, warranties)
* Assist PM to make sure the project is 100% closed out with Accounting.
* Assist in the development of plans appropriate for the technical expansion project plans and specifications, including scopes, specifications, milestone plans, budgets, risks, etc.
* Assist (or lead) internal or construction design & management projects.
* Execute project plans as required, aiming for project completion to technical specifications on time and on budget.
* Provide periodic status reporting of progress against plan, variances, recovery plans, issues, etc.
* Ensure that all Project work completed, meets statutory and Company requirements in relation to Health Safety Environmental and Quality, during construction and are capable to be maintained after completion.
* Ensure all external Contractors and Engineers perform to contract specifications & qualities, Company and statutory requirements to achieve timely, cost effective and safe delivery.
Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experiences
* Qualified to degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline, including relevant proven post-qualification experience.
* Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering concepts and interfaces, including design engineering experience.
* Over 5 years' experience in an Engineering working environment, experience of Engineering Project Management including process manufacturing environment experience. Experience of working within a multi functional team and co-ordinating with contractor companies.
* IT literacy in Microsoft Office applications & AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting software.
* Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels within the business, and work as an individual or within a team environment.
* Ability to gain commitment and support from others, internally and externally to the business.

* Committed to raising standards and delivering results, including quality, on time and financial targets set.
* PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) - Practitioner level.

* Able to demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and objectives under pressure, and flexibility in working hours where required in order to achieve these goals.
