The Role
Working within the programme project controls core management team will be required to produce client reports, presentations and internal reports supporting the operational delivery of the programme. Reports to the Programme Controls Manager, works closely with the Planning, Cost and Risk Managers and has direct management of a Deputy Project Coordinator. Time will be split equally between producing monthly reports and developing leaner methods for collating and technically presenting programme information. Will be expected to interface with other departmental functions, understand their data processes and advise simpler methods where necessary.

Main Responsibilities
Develop strong knowledge of programme controls standards, policies and procedures
Develop strong knowledge of Consultant and Contractor contract requirements for reporting and ensure they being enforced
Responsible for co-ordinating the annual review and update of project control reporting processes
Responsible for the production of the Programme Project descriptions scope publication
Ensure the annual reporting calendar is updated and issued across the programme and to external consultants
Be the central point for preparing presentations for President Office and Infrastructure Affairs Department
In liaison with Pre-Contracts, Engineering and Delivery areas monitor and control contract packaging
Responsible for coordinating with Document control, Human Resources and Programme secretaries' ensuring the capture of key personnel assigned to projects is performed
Working with the project controls planning, cost, and risk managers implement a unified reporting development initiative for all the project controls team
Contribute to the development of project controls databases
Ensure that the project coordinator, planning manager, risk manager and cost manager produce monthly reports adhering to the required procedures, quality, processes and style expected
Direct management and development responsibility of the Deputy Project Coordinator
Lead on any SharePoint reporting developments with the Information Manager
Direct the graphic designer in developing and improving the externally produced professional publications.
Coordination with Public Relations team providing information as required

Experience, Skills And Knowledge
Minimum of 10 years of experience of major projects, ideally in the Middle East
BSc / BEng in related subject or equivalent experience
Excellent knowledge of project controls planning, risk and cost control techniques and terminology
Some knowledge of engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities
Excellent report writing and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of planning and cost control software applications
Advanced user of MS Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Working knowledge of SharePoint
Experienced in implementing new initiatives and developing efficiencies in existing processes
