Orion are currently recruiting on behalf of an Oil and Gas Operator in Aberdeen who are seeking a Project Control Analyst for an initial 12 months. The ideal candidate will have a Project Controls background, however a finance background will also be considered. This role is on a PAYE basis.

An Incident-Free Workplace - Display safety leadership in your day to day work, taking personal responsibility not only for your own safety but for the safety of others.
Maintains a portfolio cost model incorporating current phase, life of project, P50, P70, committed, uncommitted, drilling, facilities, approval status, AFE etc.
Provides a monthly comparison of CAPEX and ABEX forecasts vs capped annual portfolio budgets, and any associated management adjustments. Responsible for MBR and final reporting
Monthly AFE review reporting and control at Portfolio level
Drives the process for delivering the monthly Project Committee materials, arranging meeting invites and the management of actions.
Quality control and analysis of Project Committee information, raising any concerns at Portfolio level.
Collating and analysis of LV and Plan information ahead of submission
Liaise with Finance and Business Planning regarding PLAN, Life of Field CAPEX and Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) requirements.
Application of project contingency and management reserve, development of cost phasing and contingency draw down profiles, based on project schedules.
Review and report on Management of Changes at Portfolio level.
Supports the annual ARO submission, driving the timeline and data submission.
Review and report on monthly performance of G&A.
Responsible for Stewardship Abex inputs into OGA portal.
Responsible for the upkeep of the Pathfinder OGA portal information: monthly and quarterly.
Focal point for Portfolio planning in PIMS.
Management of Portfolio Risks and Actions in PIMS. Admin rights for PIMS
Provide adhoc analysis of Capex and Abex at Portoflio level
Responsible for upkeep of Competency model.
Responsible for upkeep, maintenance and compliance of Operating Rhythm

Qualifications and Skills
Analysis and assimilation of data for project and portfolio management.
Competent in compiling Capital Project Reports, including accurate project controls reporting whilst delivering financial and regulatory compliance.

Work Experience
Demonstrable experience on major projects or portfolio Project Controls (or both) (Major defined as ~£100M+)
Would consider financial background, financial analysis, portfolio analyst background
