Project Administrator, Portsmouth, £10.50 to £11.50 per hour

Working for a growing engineering business to the north of Portsmouth, our client are seeking an experienced Administrator to work with the Project Management team to provide both admin and stores back-up for the branch.


  • Liaise with customers and suppliers.

  • Ensure job paperwork is completed and the EMIR system updated.

  • Assist with job Health & Safety Management requirements including compiling CDM packs.

  • Filing and scanning.

  • Answering the telephone.

  • Labour Scheduler entry.

  • Provide occasional cover for the Stores Clerk.

  • Following all Health and Safety procedures.

  • Carry out any other reasonable requests from the management team.

Key Skills:

  • A 'can do' attitude.

  • Must be IT literate with experience in using Microsoft Packages - Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • The ability to work in an organised manner.

  • Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.

  • Good Commercial awareness.

  • A professional approach when dealing with Customers and Suppliers.

  • Good Communication skills.

  • Experience of working in a Technical or Engineering background preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and best practice an advantage.

Hours of Work: 8am to 4pm - Monday to Friday, 1 hour for lunch. 35 hours per week. Overtime possible.

This role is commutable from Hilsea, Cosham, Farlington, Copnor, Fratton, Paulsgrove, Havant, Waterlooville, Fareham, Southsea, Hayling Island.
