Salary: £39,413 - £52,055 depending on skills and experience plus excellent benefits

The Role

As Programme Planner, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the master programme plan which is made up of a series of project plans managed by our Project Managers. You will coach Project Managers to be able to build and maintain their own high quality plans in line with clients' planning standards and will carry out quality reviews of the project plans to ensure compliance against the standards and strengthen the capability of the Project Management team. You'll review and manage progress, delivery risks and mitigations, ensuring they remain aligned to the clients' core values and standards. Acting as a key liaison between the programme and the PMO Team you will keep the programme plan updated on key milestones, time-scales and dependencies. You'll work with Project Managers to ensure that delivery risks and issues are identified, documented and tracked in a proactive manner and that any changes are being managed appropriately.

You'll be accountable for preparing various reporting, dependency tracking and change management, making sure that plans are aligned and delivery is on schedule. This will also encompass updating relevant stakeholders, business owners and senior management ensuring they have a clear view on each project. You'll also be required to regularly present programme plans to senior management, advising on progress and key risk areas so that high level decisions can be made.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience of planning complex multiple projects in a programme environment within a large-scale organisation. You'll be confident and approachable, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the flair to influence a range of stakeholders. It's also essential that you have the ability to demonstrate resilience within rapidly changing environments. You'll be able to work to tight deadlines in a heavily regulated environment, and possess excellent time management and organisational skills. Flexibility and resourcefulness will be essential to deliver quality outputs and ensure that all relevant parties' expectations are met. Ideally, you'll be Prince2 qualified or have demonstrably experience working with related methodologies. Experience with MS project is necessary alongside all MS Office applications.
