Production Technician

Weekend Dayshift - 37.5 hours per week (2 week rotational pattern)


Salary - Basic £16,575 rising to £19,890 (including shift allowance) after training period + benefits

Our client, an International Manufacturing organisation making bespoke photomasks is seeking a reliable and motivated Production Technician with experience within a clean room environment to join their established and successful business.

The business operates a 24/7 manufacturing operation and is seeking a candidate for the Weekend Dayshift role, which will be working on a rotation basis - two weeks Thurs, Fri, Sat - 12 hours, two weeks Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun - 9.75 hours. Base Salary £16,575. Candidates will work closely with the Production Shift Supervisor for intensive training in the production process which will be carried out on Weekday Dayshift. Once on Weekend Shift this post will receive a shift premium of 20%.

Once trained a flexible approach to actual working hours is required to help support the ever changing demands of Customer ordering patterns.

Candidate Specification:

Candidates will have good general health and have the ability to work well under pressure and in a demanding environment. Must possess good problem solving skills, be self-motivated and able to work well as part of a team. Have experience in a Clean Room environment.

Position Summary:

  • The general daily operation of the production facility ensuring that all production work follows the appropriate process flow and product specifications. Production errors and non-conforming operations must be minimised and eliminated.
  • Be aware of any changes as they occur i.e. Procedure updates, new system introductions.
  • Maintaining regular contact with the Shift Supervisor, informing them of any problems encountered and solutions implemented.
  • Working to exact job metrics and ensuring specification is delivered on time

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a smooth interface with the Data Processing function as the production input.
  • Co-operative team working with the other operational functions, notably production Support, as well as the Quality Department and other Production areas. The resolution of common problems with the exchange of tasks and shared commitments.
  • Support the other functional groupings within the company for the overall benefit of the business, notably Sales, Marketing and Customer Services
