Official job description:
* Under direct supervision, the Production Planner is responsible for production order management and daily execution on the shop floor.
* This job is the first level in the Manufacturing Scheduling job family.
* At this level, the Production Planner has limited autonomy to deviate from established processes, but is expected to develop their understanding of the principles necessary to exercise such judgment at the upper levels of the Manufacturing Scheduling job family.
* The Production Planner receives training to be able to plan and schedule routine orders for their assigned product lines and to resolve related problems affecting delivery for short-term (?30 days) planning horizons.
* Performs release of production orders within acceptable guidelines, uses dispatch report to coordinate schedule execution, and performs inventory management functions to optimize material flow.
* The Production Planner will have a basic understanding and knowledge of: Forecasting, FP, MRP, Excel, Theory of Constraints, Master Data, Engineering Change Management, and Inventory Turns.
* Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience is preferred.
* Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of two years working in manufacturing, procurement, or customer service.

PLEASE NOTE this is a 2nd shift role. This job is considered a hybrid role where 15% desk work and 85% work on the floor moving and prioritizing product.
* Length of Assignment: 6 months, potential to be extended
* Will this role convert to FTE: Potentially dependent on business conditions
* Expected start date: 9/1/2022
* Shift, hours, rotation: 2nd shift, 2:30pm - 8:30pm

* Top three skills needed to perform this role:
1. Heavy excel usage, some SAP experience
2. Previous manufacturing experience, managing/prioritizing WIP levels, meeting customer request dates
3. Time management, ability to respond quickly to dynamic business/mfg conditions.
* Machinery/tools used: Just a PC
* How will you be conducting interviews? In person, initial interview may be done over the phone
* Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of two years working in manufacturing, procurement, or customer service.
