Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Production Engineer Advisor based in Aberdeen

Main Duties:
Looking after company work processes, standards and Production Engineering toolset used to manage well operating envelopes and performance, including all Production Engineering content of the subsurface technical guidance system.
Implementing and overseeing use of Digital Oil Field (Petroleum Expert's IFM / IVM); Locked-In Potential (LIP); Production System Optimisation (PSO), Well Intervention Delivery Process (WIDP) and Well Flow Assurance (WellFarm) processes.
Acting as the custodian of the opportunity and risk management to identify and realise well optimisation opportunities in conjunction with the Development / Subsurface and Drilling & Completions teams.
Supporting the preparation of:
i) Infill well programs - provisioning of all production technology input (lifecycle management, flow assurance, upper completion design, artificial lift design and sand face design).
ii) Supporting the new field development planning activities, including High Pressure High Temperature.
Providing the technical and commercial justification for well interventions and workovers.

Skills & Knowledge:
MSc or equivalent degree in either Petroleum Engineering / Reservoir Engineering with robust and relevant experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
Experience in managing mature assets within the North Sea.
Industry-standard Petroleum Engineering software and tools including well performance modelling
Total system (well and plant) optimisation systems and strategies
Artificial lift principles with demonstrable ability in gas lift application
PVT analysis and interpretation
Production chemistry and flow assurance management associated with waterflood reservoirs
Geomechanics associated with production and injection in oil / gas fields
Cased and open hole logging principles and application
Surveillance, monitoring and metering principles and application
