Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Production Chemist, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Support to assets relating to production chemical issues, scaling, emulsions, hydrates, asset integrity, waxing and any other process-related production chemical issues
Monitor various chemical process parameters and intervene proactively
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure production optimisation, identify further opportunities and new projects
Support and technical input to processes and procedures for all aspects of production chemistry across the assets
Identify deposits or unknown fluids and suggest resolution
Provide advisory support on production chemistry matters to assist with field, projects and production/operational management plans
Manage routine sample analysis including regulatory and contractual requirements
Manage OIW equipment and calibration service
Source and supply temporary injection pumps
Ensure chemical permits reflect the chemicals in use, carry out an annual review on chemical permits and actively manage sub-warning replacement plan.
Apply for and manage chemical waivers as required
Design and oversee laboratory & field research to find effective ways to optimise production processes, improve production safety and product quality and reduce environment impact
Actively look to identify industry best practices and new technology

Qualifications & Experience
Relevant experience (which may include onshore or offshore experience in a chemist role)
Required to hold a relevant Degree
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills
Experience of delivering solutions with speed and simplicity
Experience in influencing demand by analysing and challenging business requirements
Highly organised with excellent ability in coordination of people and resources
Managing contracts
