This Procurement role is responsible for ensuring that required services are available for Drilling and Completion and SURF projects, in accordance with scheduled requirements and activities. The Analyst/Specialist participates in weekly/bi-weekly Operational plan reviews, providing input on supply of services, advising feasibility, as well as working with category management, the business and vendors to resolve any hot spots to increase optimal operational performance. This role is responsible for managing asset demands through coordination with Category Management / PSC to ensure supply when needed. The Procurement Analyst will participate in continuous improvement activities to improve supplier performance and reduce defects. The role will be accountable for improving pricebook adherence to ensure contractual rates are being invoiced by the vendors.

Duties:

  • Participate / understand demands from ongoing asset operating rhythm, facilitate annual planning with business and category management to ensure agreed delivery dates that will meet the business need
  • Single point of contact to D&C/SURF stakeholders
  • Asset based sourcing (within the parameters agreed to with central procurement), participate in valuation in evaluation of RFPs, and coordinate asset endorsements
  • Manage projects; including project planning, stakeholder alignment, establish communication plan, execute/facilitate execution of the contracts and POs to meet project dates, manage change orders, and perform project close out activities
  • Complete local supplier onboarding, facilitate local contract kickoff, provide key contract information to asset, and understand and execute within the contracts
  • Track operational supplier performance and manage SRM meetings with core suppliers
  • PR review, reject and accept
  • RFQ/spot buying locally
  • Create / transmit service Purchase Orders
  • Execute change orders for services
  • First point of communication /resolution with the suppliers for any issues, including invoices, Purchase Orders, pricebook issues, contract, or performance
  • Deliver on-time availability for Drilling & Completion/SURF services through daily monitoring and execution of requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through continuous review of metric results vs. targets (i.e. off pricebook spend, invoice submittal time, underfunded POs, etc.)
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and work with the business to implement, along with tracking and reporting Asset value creation
  • Work with suppliers failing in ISN to improve score
  • Identify opportunities for Lean Problem Solving, Kaizen events and participate in the project
  • Work with the business, materials GSC and Category Management to identify and execute opportunities to improve consistency, compliance and best practices
  • Optimize vendor spend through contract review/operational efficiencies

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree
  • 5 / 8+ years sourcing, contracting, negotiations, demand planning or related supply chain experience, preferably in Procurement
  • ERP system experience, including, Purchase Orders (PO), pricebooks and master data requirements, preferably SAP
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, and apply standard processes
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Presentation; effective conversations and written)
  • Effective project management skills, including managing execution dates and ensuring deliverables are provided by the needed dates
  • Experience in Team Work, including influencing others
  • Data Analysis Skills (Operational, Financial, Performance Metrics, etc.)
  • Excellent Computer Skills in Excel and Word; good skills in remaining Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Spotfire, Sharepoint, etc.
