Job description

Orion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Laboratory Process Technician on behalf of our Multinational Pharmaceutical client based in Blackrock, Dublin on an initial 9 - month contract (Onsite)

The Laboratory Process Technician will front end sample preparation routine lysing and cleaning DNA. Sample registering and scanning of samples. Make buffers when required and Quality Control of incoming samples.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of daily sample registration and reconciliation of same with electronic data.
  • Prepare buffers, materials as required for analytical procedures.
  • General Housekeeping.
  • Assisting routine processing of test samples and associated electronic information.
  • Lysing and cleaning DNA samples.
  • Scanning of sample.

Qualifications & Background

  • Degree/Diploma in Science Biology or Molecular Biology.
  • Experience in using multi-channel pipettes.
  • Previous experience in an ISO accredited laboratory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with a manufacturing or production line environment.
  • Ability to work independently and to daily targets.
  • Experience in DNA clean up and preparation preferred, not essential.
  • Work as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Fast learner and a positive approach.
