Principal Structural Engineer

Our client is a leading international Engineering contractor within the oil and gas sector who now require a Principal Structural Engineer to take the technical lead of the structural design engineering on multi-disciplined engineering projects.

The Role

* Lead the structural engineering and design team in producing designs, drawings and other deliverables

* Ensure quality and admin procedures are followed

* Liaise and collaborate with other disciplines within the project

* Produce economical design solutions for projects, studies and enquiries

* Responsibility for the technical quality of work carried out

* Ensure timely completion of deliverables and work-hour control

* Responsibility for the performance of personnel within the team and the management of design sub-contracts

Required Skills and Experience:

* Experience of leading Civil/Structural designers in multi-discipline design teams for safety related facilities

* Experienced in overseas projects and international design codes

* Proficient in all aspects of structural steelwork design.

* Proficient in the use of STAAD and Ansys software

* Experience in LNG tanks and associated structures is highly desirable
