Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Principal / Senior Instrument Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Assist with resolving technical queries and ensure the resolution is satisfactory and ensure that all design changes are captured by the change control process
Conduct site surveys
Produce calculations required for the role and participate in design reviews and check and approve discipline documents also to check interdisciplinary documents where necessary
Producing documentation deliverables for inclusion in workpacks, and or, design books on time to meet project deadlines for assigned packages and scopes of work
Supervision of other discipline engineers and designers within the scope of work, work is broadly determined by the Lead or Principal Engineer where informed guidance is available.
Delivery as part of the project team for achieving the target and completion of engineering documentation within the budget and schedule; ensuring that all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Asset priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan.
Preparation of engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates where necessary.
Identification of increase or reduction in scope and assist in raising the necessary support documents for Project Control Purposes

Qualifications and Experience
Hold an engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline and is working towards Chartered Engineer with sufficient post-qualification experience to be considered as possessing a good working knowledge of the respective discipline. Some experience should be in a relevant theatre of operation.
Hold an HND in a relevant engineering discipline with sufficient post-qualification experience to be considered as possessing a strong working knowledge of the respective discipline. A sufficient level of experience should be in a relevant theatre of operation.
