Our client, are an established Mechanical and Plumbing Company involved with varied projects across the Highlands. Their present and future work commitments have created the need for an experienced Plumbing Estimator to join their busy commercial team.

The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Previous Estimating experience in a similar role

Person Specification:

Minimum 3 years construction related discipline or equivalent industry experience

Experience of general estimating and negotiation experience directly related to both engineering and/or construction projects

This position will involve:

Preparing and collating tenders by a given deadline based on the scope of work, plans and specifications

Souring pre-contract information to ensure project requirements

Developing conceptual cost plans from design information

Reviewing contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work and cost allowances for scope changes

Performing all negotiation duties in an assertive but also fair and reasonable manner

Rating the bill of quantities taking into account the project scenarios

Proficiency with estimating software

Establishing a good working relationship with clients and attend internal team meetings
