Plant Operative, Perth, To £8.50 per hour

Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Perth are seeking a Plant Operative to work within their engineering team, working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Role Key Accountabilities:

·Continually monitor and maintain the effluent treatment plant

·Maintain plant equipment to a good standard so as to ensure accuracy and compliance and undertake a regular cleaning regime of pipework, bunds, tanks and the general area

·Understand the compliance required from Scottish Water to ensure the discharge consent limits are not breached

·Understand the treatment requirements of the effluent plant

·Undertake continuous monitoring and adjustment of the effluent plant so that it operates efficiently

·Ensure there are smooth handovers with other colleagues

·Training of other colleagues ensuring they can maintain the effluent plant when not in attendance

·Undertake daily analysis of the effluent to monitor and optimise the operation of the plant

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

·Experience: Ideally worked in an engineering or manufacturing facility and be able to demonstrate high levels of Health and Safety knowledge and awareness in the role on a day to day basis

·Broad Site knowledge and an understanding of Site drainage system.

·Ability to construct and issue basic reports.

·General IT literacy and high level of literacy and numerical skills essential to understand and review plant running costs.

·Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor improvement activities.

This role is commutable from Perth, Dunkeld, Pitlochry, Crook of Devon, Dundee.
