My client, an oil & gas operator, are urgently recruiting a Planning Engineer for a contract opportunity based in Paris, France.

Position overview:

* The service provider is responsible for all the scheduling, planning and progress measurement activities for the Iris Project, all along the course of the Project.
* Elaborating the integrated schedule for the full development of the project (construction, drilling and operations)
* Identifying interfaces between all packages to ensure consistency of the overall schedule.
* Participating to Call For Tender process (milestones definition, bidders technical analysis)
* Supervising, controlling and coordinating the activities related to Work Packages scheduling and planning and progress measurement; this includes active participation to the development of the project integrated project schedule supervision of scheduling and progress measurement activities during the Execution phase;
* Developing and maintaining schedules at Project level, with analysis of critical path and potential clashes and proposal of remedial actions/solutions;
* Ensuring availability at all times of an updated and accurate scheduling and progress measurement documentation;
* Reporting at Project level (participation to Weekly reports, Monthly Status Report...).
* The service provider will be supported during the Execution Phase by a team composed of Planning Engineers who will be dedicated to Work Packages scheduling and progress measurement activities.
* The service provider shall liaise actively with all the Project Package Managers (mainly) for all scheduling and progress measurement related activities.
* The service provider shall observe and shall impose strict confidentiality during the tendering phase and as a general manner all along the course of the Project.
* The service provider reports to the Project Control Manager.
* The service provider is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements and for implementing and controlling HSSE rules within his area of responsibility.
- To define (and update as necessary) a suitable Work Breakdown Structure complying with Project needs in terms of progress control, cost control and reporting, for all phases of the Project.
- To develop, update and revise the overall integrated Project Schedules as required by Project Management, and to provide analyses and simulations of new schedules also as required.

Required skills and experience:

* Extensive experience within Planning related to oil & gas projects.
* Strong knowledge of PRIMAVERA required
* Languages: English mandatory
