Orion Group are looking for a Planning/Business Systems Set Up-NPI for our multinational medical devices client based in the Cork area on an initial 12-month contract with the potential to extend.


Job Purpose
You will establish an alternate set of Finished Good (FG) part codes in line with internal procedures and set up these on local and international inventory management systems.


Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Register Part Numbers in Master Data Management system
  • Create Change Orders in Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Create Variant Part numbers in QMS
  • Create FG and Lower Level Product Introduction Forms
  • Create Bill of Materials (BoM)
  • Create FG and sub assembly routers
  • Set up products on Manufacturing Control System
  • Test systems in sandbox to ensure launch success
  • Minimise Environmental and Health & Safety effects of your work
  • Adhere to the company's procedures as detailed in the SOP manual
  • Support Regulatory Affairs with product submissions

Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate

  • Qualification in Supply Chain/Lean or similar discipline
  • Must be pro-active, self-motivated, and have a demonstrated ability to follow assignments through to completion
  • Minimum 3 years in a planner/buyer capacity in a large-scale project
  • Familiarity with systems such as JDE, OMS, PRMS, SAP
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP and cGDP
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years' relevant experience in a Purchasing/Planning/Logistics/Supply Chain role within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of medical device quality & regulatory systems and medical device directive (ISO13485, MDD and FDA CFR 820) and other pertinent Design Control requirements
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Planned and organised individual with strong interpersonal skills, be able to collaborate effectively and resolve conflicts
  • Strong analytical skills to make quantitative projections and recommendations
