Job Description

  • To develop and maintain baseline and detailed project schedules for various phases of project including but not limited to design procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and delivery.
  • To develop and update GSS monthly performance reports including level 1 and level 2 schedules, progress S-Curves and milestone variance reports.
  • To review schedules and reports prepared by the contractors and suppliers and monitor progress of works at site.
  • To identify / highlight any emerging issues pertaining to schedule slippages and work with Project Manager / team to develop recovery plans.
  • To analyse impact of proposed changes to project scope / requirements and re-baseline the schedules to incorporate approved changes.
  • Essential experience and job requirements
  • Relevant upstream major project planning experience in oil and gas sector for subsea hardware:
  • Solid broad based project experience in the design and execution phases of projects and a clear track record of delivery and a willingness/ability to work with all project disciplines.
  • Planning experience in the major project environment with particular focus on Subsea Production Systems and URF system delivery.
  • Strong understanding of current Schedule best practices and familiarity with Primavera P6 software and other planning tools.
  • Conduct regular meetings with suppliers to review progress of works.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions with confidence based on sound reasoning.
  • Must have strong Performance Bias - Bias for action - does things before being asked to or forced to by events.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high quality output.

Personal Specification

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and contractors.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Education
  • Degree in Engineering or Project Management related field optional but preferred
