Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Piping Engineer, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities will include:
Prepare and check piping material take-off lists.
Prepare and check piping isometrics, general arrangements, P&IDs, field layouts and approach drawings.
Prepare and review specifications and datasheets for pipework, fittings and hardware including of line pipe, flanges, valves and fittings
Review and check supplier drawings and documentation include flange design calculations and code compliance calculations for pipework fittings.
Contribute towards bids and tenders.
Undertake and check design calculations related to subsea pipework integrity.
Write and check project deliverables.

First Degree or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline
Achieved or working towards CEng status.

Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas Subsea Engineering industry particularly undertaking detailed design of subsea piping systems and rigid tie in spools.
Knowledge of industry design codes and standards including PD8010-2, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, DNV-OS-F101 and DNV-RP-F112. Ability to work effectively within the requirements of these design codes and client specifications.
Experienced in general subsea piping layout requirements.
Experience in subsea piping stress analysis utilising AutoPIPE, CAESAR or similar software packages and supplementary manual calculations.
Experience in related subject matters including pipework flexibility assessments, HISC, erosion, VIV, FIV, slugging analysis and fatigue related issued.
Knowledge of subsea piping components and hardware including flanges, valves, buttwelded fittings, studbolts and gaskets.
Working knowledge of the associated design codes including API 6A, API 17D, ASME B16.5, ISO 27059, ASME B16.9 and ISO 14723.
Excellent communication skills.
