Orion Group are recruiting for a Locum Pharmacist (Junior) on behalf of a Multinational Healthcare Company located in Dublin, Ireland.

Locum Pharmacist

The Locum Pharmacist would be acting in a support pharmacist role one to two days a week and would be assisting with the dispensing duties on those days. The locum pharmacist would also be responsible for providing holiday cover and for provision of on-call pharmacy cover one in every three/four weekends. The role will be split between two pharmacy departments- one on the north side of Dublin, the other on the south.

The Locum Pharmacist position is a multidisciplinary role and is an exciting opportunity which will ensure exposure to many areas of Medicinal Product Dispensing within the pharmaceutical industry. The locum pharmacist may also have exposure to Quality Assurance in a pharmaceutical GMP environment regulated by the Health Products Regulatory Authority.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
  • Minimum of one year experience in a dispensary that is registered as a retail pharmacy business by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (experience as a pharmacy intern will be considered)
  • The locum pharmacist will be required to work one to two days weekly (one hour lunch break) between two homecare pharmacies. There is potential for locum hours to be increased in the future.
  • On call cover is required one in every three/four weekends. On call cover requires a pharmacist to be available over the weekend to take queries relating to our Home Patients. On call cover at weekends is from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Locum will be required to provide holiday cover
