Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Petroleum Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Day to day petroleum engineering support
Reservoir/well flow assurance (e.g. pressure transient analysis and nodal analysis, etc.)
Build and maintain nodal analysis (e.g. Prosper) and integrated production (e.g. GAP) models to assist in the optimisation of production
Collaborate with the Reservoir Engineers in setting data gathering priorities
Support Production Engineers in the Operations Group in assignment of maximum well deliverability and the generation of the monthly well information packs (WIP)
Organise and lead well reviews to identify production enhancement opportunities. Maintain opportunity inventory for each asset
Maturation (identification, evaluation, justification and execution) of small projects to enhance production
Generation of incremental production profiles for production enhancement projects
Management of 3rd party studies
Maintain well production forecasts and generate in year production forecast updates and variance analysis.
Assist in the generation of life of field production forecasts in support of business planning and the year-end reserves reporting exercise

Qualifications & Experience
Educated to degree level in petroleum engineering or similar discipline
Significant experience in petroleum engineering methods (e.g. well-test interpretation, material balance, well performance and production forecasting) as well as a good understanding of production chemistry and production technology
Experienced user of industry standard software, e.g. Prosper, GAP, MBAL, PVTp or PVTi, PanSystem or Saphir
Previous experience working in production/petroleum engineering
Exposure to offshore operations
Experienced in production forecasting and exposure to reserves estimation
Peer Review experience.
