Orion Partner Plus are pleased to have been retained by a leading subsidiary of a global German Machinery and Plant engineering company. With operations in Germany, the US, China, India, Slovakia, and Italy, they specialize in Process Technology, Building Materials, and Recycling. Their Charlotte-based subsidiary is currently seeking a skilled Parts Specialist to join their dedicated team.
Role Overview:
The Parts Specialist will be instrumental in supporting customers by managing parts requests and ensuring top-notch service for their existing machinery. This position, based in Charlotte, NC, demands several years of SAP experience in a customer-service or inside sales role. A background in purchasing, supply chain, or accounting within an SAP environment is highly advantageous.
What You'll Do:
Customer Interaction & Quoting:
- Assist customers with identifying and ordering the correct parts and accessories.
- Provide accurate product information and prepare quotations.
Order Management:
- Process customer orders by verifying parts availability, preparing quotes, and completing sales.
- Monitor and update the status of orders, ensuring timely delivery.
Stock Control & Inventory:
- Oversee stock levels of parts and accessories, ensuring optimal inventory management.
- Place orders for replenishment and conduct regular inventory audits.
Logistics Coordination:
- Organize and manage shipping logistics for domestic and international orders.
Record-Keeping & Compliance:
- Maintain detailed records of inventory, orders, and transactions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with logistics, sales teams, and the parent company in Germany.
- Provide training and support to the after-sales team as needed.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or business education is a plus.
- Experience in parts management, inventory control, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems effectively.
- Task-focused with a high sense of urgency.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.
Work Environment:
- This role may require standing for extended periods, lifting heavy parts, and driving a forklift.
- The position may involve working in a warehouse or retail environment with exposure to various equipment and materials.
