We currently have a temporary position for a Paralegal/Trainee Paralegal to join our Client's legal team based in Inverness.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all legal casework is progressed timeously, to include liaising with area teams and external agents (where appropriate) in conjunction with the in-house team
  • Receive and implement instructions from staff for sales/purchases/leasing of land and buildings, for the documentation of undertakings/agreements for financial assistance to businesses, for legal action in relation to debt recovery (e.g. rent arrears etc.)
  • Quality assurance checking of instructions before issue to ensure compliance with the company internal processes and procedures
  • Clerical support to the legal team to include document management, liaising with external agents and providing instructions where appropriate
  • Respond to and give advice on ad-hoc queries received from staff on matters arising from the company operations
  • Act as interface between external agents and staff


  • Drafting undertakings/funding agreements
  • Commercial property experience i.e. leasing, sales and purchases of business and industrial premises, title investigations and reports, rent reviews and drafting and discharging of securities
  • Procurement experience (drafting contract terms and conditions)
  • Debt recovery processes and procedures knowledge
  • FOI and data protection knowledge

Approximate contract duration: 3-6 months.
