Outfitting Joiners
Immediate start
Location - Rosyth
Rates - Basic PAYE £15.94 per hour / Overtime £23.91 per hour + shift allowance + holiday pay

Our client, a successful Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering business is seeking to source qualified and experienced Outfitting Joiners for the T31 Project based at Rosyth Dockyard.

Carry-out planned installations, maintenance and removals of temporary and fixed systems and equipment to support the build assembly and outfitting of Naval Platforms.

Role requires individual to complete all activities associated with outfitting scope of works, from HVAC ducting and vent, furniture, partitions and linings and fixtures and fittings throughout the platform.

Scope covering light manufacturing and installation of equipment and associated fixing arrangements to allow the outfit of compartments, accommodation spaces, galleys, offices and machinery spaces.

Environment contains instances where the individual will be requirement to use elevated platforms (Working at height) and enter confined spaces such as tanks and compartments with limited access.

Key Responsibilities

* Manufacture and installation of HVAC ducting, including rectangular vent, Spiro duct and fabric.
* Installation of fixtures and fittings throughout naval platforms such as, but not limited to :-
o Office furniture
o Bookcases and shelving
o Fixed handrails
o Stowage's and storage solutions
o Securing of COTS equipment
o Cap and coat hooks
o Cabin fixtures and furniture

* Installation in line with production output materials such as compartment layouts and detailed dimensional instructions.

Composite Skills

* First fixing methods (studding)
* Temporary extract systems installation and maintenance
* Installation of care and maintenance, protection materials and methods
* Assist with other trades installation scope where required, being led by suitably qualified experienced persons (SQEP).
* Lead other trades and support functions where required, acting as the SQEP individual, ensuring all work is carried out to efficiently and to the desired standards for both safety and quality.

General

* Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements including tag out requirements and Safe Systems of Work procedures, working at height, confined spaces etc.
* Good communication skills
* Self motivated
* Problem solving skills
* Shift working / Overtime as and when required

Qualifications/Experience/ Role Expectations

* Eligibility for SC Clearance and ITAR
* A recognised apprenticeship
* Recent and relevant experience working in a similar service provider environment.
* Experience working within environment with energised equipment, aware of isolation & safe systems of work requirements.
* Open mind to change (supporting Composite working environment)
* Must be willing to develop self through training to support programme requirements

Baseline security clearance will be required for this role.
