OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE MANAGER

We are currently recruiting for an Operations & Maintenance Manager for our client based in Grangemouth. You must have experience in a similar role within the water/waste water sector and be able to demonstrate your technical & operational knowledge in one or more areas of the water/waste water industry.

Main Purpose

* You will be responsible for operating, optimising and improving the Demin and Cooling Water systems at an Industrial customer's site.
* Manage the successful delivery of maintenance services across both water & wastewater assets which will involve all aspects of the plant - process operations, maintenance and asset care, development projects, resource, risk, cost management and control and overall optimisation.
* You will be expected to drive operational excellence & significantly improve the reliability & efficiency of the water systems.
* Be able to improve safety culture to achieve zero accidents and incident.
* To control all budgets, sub contracts (chemicals, sludge etc) & optimisation of plant to max efficiencies.

Main Responsibilities

* Co-ordinate and implementation of HSE systems
* Visible leadership on HSE issues at all levels both in the client organisation & within company
* Act as a member of the management on-call team
* Control of costs on projects - suppliers and subcontractors
* Analyse operational and processing risks within the context of long term site service contract and manage to minimise.
* Respond to emergencies
* Lead / manage incidents in conjunction with Operations / Standby Manager
* Support the development of training and competence material
* As part of Operational Excellence support the development of plant KPI's and information to ensure clear easy monitoring of plant performance
* Resourcing
* HSE - show a high level of personal leadership and demonstrate the correct behaviours
* Management and supervision of sub-contractors

Knowledge & Experience

* Operational and Maintenance of Water / waste water experience performing in a leadership role
* Experience working directly with a Customer including attending, facilitating and contributing to meetings
* Leadership experience in the management of a team of operators, skilled technicians and engineers
* Project management experience beneficial
* Time management skills
* Maintenance Planning Systems (MAXIMO)
* Background in Waste water treatment/Chemistry / Chemical engineering
* Certificate/training in Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety system
* Maintenance qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)

Salary package will be negotiable depending on background/experience.
