Oil & Gas Production Master

As part of the ongoing greenfield project, our client has a requirement for an experienced Production Specialist to be based in Baku, Azerbaijan.



  • The main task of the production master is to fulfill the planned task on oil and gas production, increase labor productivity, observe safety rules, strengthen labor and production discipline in the team he leads, conduct technological process during oil and gas production and meet the requirements of the work permit system. ;
  • Ensures compliance with the technological mode of operation of facilities and wells, prepares systems and equipment for repair, puts them into operation after repair, organizes work taking into account critical abnormal conditions. Promptly detects and eliminates the causes of deviations; Takes measures to reduce idle time of the well fund. When repairing wells, he prepares them and draws up acts of acceptance and delivery of wells.
  • Prepares and inspects works in accordance with the requirements of the work permit system; Provides and verifies the risk assessment to identify hazards prior to the implementation of the planned activities; Promotes, ensures and inspects the STOP CARD system, which serves the security policy of the Department;
  • Ensures the observance of labor and production discipline of employees, instructions and rules for safe work, technological regimes and regulations, application of safe work methods.
  • Constantly monitors the working conditions. Regularly inspects the condition of workplaces, proper operation of equipment, mechanisms, designs and tools. Ensures the implementation of planned measures to ensure safe working conditions, proposals submitted by workers and public inspectors for labor protection within a specified period and the elimination of identified deficiencies, violations and deficiencies;
  • Instructs workers on safe work practices within a specified period of time by making appropriate entries in a special journal. When instructing workers to perform work in hazardous working conditions, they are given special instructions by making appropriate entries in the logbook and work permit sheet;

Skills and Experience

  • The technology of oil and gas production process; oilfield equipment and their maintenance rules; basics of economy, labor organization, production and management; production planning, economic accounting methods; local and foreign scientific and technical achievements in the field of oil and gas industry, the experience of leading enterprises; computer technology, means of communication and communication; rules and norms of labor protection, safety, environmental protection, industrial sanitation, fire protection;
  • Must be ready to work as a team.

  • Platform leader functions and people management
  • Be familiar with and apply Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, RCFA, RACI, DIO, etc. systems.
  • Must have technical production knowledge
  • Must be knowledgeable in marine operations engineering, maintenance/repair, planning, logistics and ship operations
  • Must have strong leadership skills to develop themselves and their peers and to give positive or negative feedback to subordinates.
  • Ability to manage complex operations in a simpler way and protect people from dangers. must be able to make accurate assessments.
  • Must have experience in offshore operations
